Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin took part in a festive namaz on the occasion of Kurban-bayram holiday. The service took place in the new mosque Al Tan named after Gabdrahim Utyz-Imyani, which accommodates more than 1 thousand people.
In his message, the Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin spoke about the history of Kurban-bayram holiday and its moral and spiritual meaning. He urged believers to treat each other with respect.
The Mosque is located in the Privolzhsky district of Kazan at the address: Dubravnaya str., 2b. Its construction began in 2018 by the initiative of initiative group and Kazan entrepreneurs to the Tatarstan Muslim Spiritual Authority in 2016.
The Mosque with an area of 2,400 square meters consists of two floors and a basement, the Tatarstan Muslim Spiritual Authority reported. On the ground floor there is a main prayer hall for 500 people, a men's and women's dressing room and an imam's office. On the second floor there is a women's prayer hall for 250 people, classrooms for Sunday school, a library, a ceremonial hall for holding majlises, an office for imams. On the basement floor there is a reserve prayer hall, a dining room, a small hall for holding majlises, men's and women's restrooms.
The Mosque has a comfortable environment for disabled persons, the Press Office of the Raisa of Tatarstan reports.
