Graduates of School №182 of the Salavat Kupere residential district
will receive certificates of the KSEU on mastering the working profession. This
became possible thanks to the construction of a new building of the school,
which opened on September 1. The classrooms and laboratories are equipped with
the latest technology for students, there are floorball and water polo classes,
and a theater studio was opened here. The Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin
visited the new building of the school today. He noted that studying in such
conditions is a great luck.
The construction of additional building of the Polytechnic School №182
began at the beginning of the year. The design capacity of the main building
was significantly exceeded. Now the area of the two buildings is about 50
thousand square meters. 2,876 children study at the school with a design
capacity of 2,725 places. With the opening of the new building, the load on
other schools of the residential area has decreased.
Since high school students study in the new building, special attention
is paid to the choice of profession in the educational process. “Together with
KSEU, the school organized classes in nine areas for the development of
engineering competencies of schoolchildren and their career guidance.
Laboratories of computer vision, programming, modeling, materials science,
robotics and electrical engineering have been opened in the building,”- said
Ruslan Duzhenkov, school director.
The school is equipped with modern equipment, including Eyecar unmanned
vehicles powered by computer vision, installations for measuring the hardness,
temperature and density of metal, polymers and mixed materials, intellectual
and energy systems that display a model of the city, where students can compete
in planning to provide residents with energy. Graduates of the school will receive
certificates of obtaining a working profession in the electrical engineering.
Polytechnic School №182 is focused on advanced study of mathematics,
computer science and physics. Within the framework of engineering and
technological education, the school implements the federal project Advanced
Engineering Schools together with KNITU. The school is also a member of the
Consortium for the Development of School Engineering and Technology Education
in the Russian Federation.
The educational institution has two choreographic and two gyms, a
wrestling area, a climbing wall and two swimming pools. An important part of
the sports life of the school is training in water polo and floorball. Children
attend classes in the pool from the first to the fourth grade, after which they
are included in the Tatarstan national team. This year, schoolchildren took
second place at the Golden Ball water polo competition. “In five years, the
guys have grown to silver medalists in Russian competitions. The school has
trained athletes on its own – it's worth a lot,”- the Mayor said.
In addition, the lyceum has a hockey rink, a conditioning course, two
assembly halls, as well as a theater studio.
