(KZN.RU, September 17, Renat Shirmanov). The number of hotspots for free Internet access should be increased in the Tatarstan capital. This will improve the conditions for residents’ and visitors’ recreation, said Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at today's Business Monday.
Head of Information and Communications Vitaly Utkin reported that to date, hotspots are available in Uritsky Park, Park Pobedy, Millennium Park, Krylya Sovetov Park, the square in front of the National Cultural Center and in the park on Syrtlanova Street. By the end of the year, free internet access will become available in Petrov park, Prospekt Mira Park and Chyornoe Ozero gardens.
"Thanks to the operators’ investment programs, in particular those of Tattelecom, "there are more than 300 free Internet access points in Kazan’s public places. Another example of the telecommunications market growth is the launch of 4G LTE networks,” said Vitaly Utkin.
"Implementation of the program should be continued. There aren’t enough Internet access points in public places, which would improve conditions for recreation. Young people should be taught to relax not with a beer but with a notebook,” summed up Ilsur Metshin.
