Ilsur Metshin awards the winners of the competition for the best architectural and urban planning solution at Kazanysh forum

On the final day of the Kazanysh International Architectural and Construction Forum, the results of the review competition for the best architectural and urban planning solution in Kazan were summed up. The Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin congratulated the winners and prize-winners-PROGRESPROEKT LLC with a garage complex project, the Dostoevsky residential complex by Art-StroyDom-2 and A+R Project, the Ahmadzaki mosque complex designed by Transyuzhstroy and AXIOM Kazan, the Altura residential complex by KamaStroyInvest company and the BETON architecture studio.

“This is only a small part of our gratitude to our colleagues, architects and everyone who makes a great contribution to the future of Kazan. There are no secondary professions, but your work lives for decades, while talented works live for centuries. I thank Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina, the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, the architectural bureau, developers, young architects – this is your and our joint work. Kazan is loved by both residents of the city and tourists. Let's make our capital even better,”- the head of the city addressed the audience.

This year, 166 applications were received for participation in the competition in 11 categories. We considered both implemented and unrealized projects.

Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina, Chief architect of Kazan, noted that uncoordinated and unimplemented projects will help architects to popularize them. In this category, PROGRESPROEKT LLC was awarded in the nomination “The best engineering and technical facility” for a non-trivial approach to design. The team presented a project to create a garage complex on the territory of the M-5 residential district of the Sedmoye Nebo residential area.

The Grand Prix in the nominations ‘The best residential complex” and “The best concept for the development of territory” were awarded to Art-StroyDom-2 LLC and A+R Project LLC. They presented projects for the construction of a residential complex on Dostoevskogo Street.

The Akhmadzaki mosque complex in the Kirovsky city district was awarded in the nomination “The best social facility”. The Mayor awarded LLC Transyuzhstroy and LLC AXIOM Kazan.

The best residential complex and the choice of citizens was the Altura residential complex project. KamaStroyInvest LLC and BETON Architecture Studio were awarded the first place.

The award of the residents was given to kindergarten № 163 of a combined type with education in the Tatar language of the Privolzhsky city district. The head of the city awarded the head of the kindergarten Alsu Fatkhieva and the architect of the project Alexandra Schastyeva in the nomination “The best renovation object”.

Ilsur Metshin awarded particularly distinguished citizens with departmental and municipal awards. Ilya Volfson, Deputy of the Russian State Duma, was awarded the badge of Honorary Construction Worker of Russia, the certificate of honor of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation was presented to Emil Khusnutdinov, General Director of the group of companies “Housing and Utilities Services of Kazan”, Olesya Baltusova, aide to the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan, was awarded the badge of distinction “For impeccable service of Kazan”.
