Ilsur Metshin on the first “Aybat!” festival: “We believe that it will become a good tradition”

The first festival “Aybat!” will be the largest event in Kazan dedicated to the International Children's Day. On June 1, more than 10 thousand young citizens will gather at Tatneft Arena. This was announced at the Business Monday meeting by Deputy Head of the Kazan Executive Committee Guzel Sagitova.

“The big festival of childhood “Aybat!” is this year’s innovation, – said Mayor Ilsur Metshin. – In our city, almost a quarter of the population are our dear and beloved children. We are building schools, kindergartens, country camps, teen clubs, sports venues, youth centers, and landscaping yards for them. And we are very happy thar there are a lot of activities there”.

Ilsur Metshin shared his memories of the 2013 Universiade in Kazan. Then the task was set, in addition to the competitions, to organize unforgettable and outstanding opening and closing ceremonies.

“Then we had an idea – I turned to our friend and colleague Igor Krutoy so that dance groups would be represented by Kazan children and teenagers. We agreed on this almost two years in advance. We set the task for the director's corps, educational institutions, including additional ones, to recruit the maximum number of such teams,”- the head of the city said.

According to him, over the past 10 years, the vast majority of schools have also participated in the Big School Break festival. At the same time, both the number and quality of dance groups have increased. Children grow up discovering and developing talents, are not afraid of the stage and actively participate in festivals, representing their schools, the Mayor noted.

“We decided to hold a festival of Kazan dance and childhood. We hope that it will become a good tradition. Its name “Aybat!” was suggested by the leaders of the dance groups. We invite everyone to watch the dancing youth Kazan on June 1,”- Ilsur Metshin concluded.

Guzel Sagitova added that an extensive cultural and entertainment program will be organized for all viewers and their parents: presentations of youth policy institutions, educational games, master classes, mascots and other activities in the lobby of Tatneft Arena.

The show theater “Sharm”, the dance theater “Doroga iz goroda”, the choir “Bez not”, the studio of the dance ensemble “Kazan”, the show ballet “Crystal”, “Mgnovenie” and other groups will take part in the festival. They will perform their best performances on the same stage with pop stars: the Pizza group, People's Artists of Tatarstan Guzel Urazova and Elmira Kalimullina, as well as the Moscow musical theater “Domisolka”.
