The capital
of Tatarstan will host the 5th International Forum of Charitable
Organizations «The Good Kazan» this summer. This was announced by the Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin. The Forum will bring together representatives of non-profit
organizations, charitable foundations, volunteer groups, socially responsible
businesses, and experts. Approximately 500 participants are expected to attend,
including representatives from Tatarstan and other regions of Russia, as well
as international speakers from Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
«Today, «The Good Kazan» project unites more than a hundred
non-governmental organizations and charitable foundations. Starting with school
fairs, we have created a powerful movement that involves tens of thousands of
citizens. The project marks its tenth anniversary this year. During this time,
we have gained a great experience that we are willing to share with experts in
the area. We would also like to explore new opportunities for ourselves by incorporating
interesting practices from other representatives of the charity community», –
Ilsur Metshin shared.
The city resource center of the NGO ANO «The Good Kazan» will be an organizer
of the forum. The Forum will last for two days and is expected to be the
largest of its kind. Participants will share their experiences, review
successful practices in implementing charitable projects, discuss current
trends in charity development, and work on grants.
«The Good Kazan» project was launched in 2015 and held school fairs of
kindness. Today, «The Good Kazan» unites more than a hundred different
charitable foundations. It has five educational and training apartments, an

from 162 schools, 309 kindergartens, and 49 other educational establishments in
the city took part in them.
The co-working space of the «Good Kazan» hosted more than 1,500 events last
year. Projects such as Diary of Good Deeds, Kind Navigator, a Telegram bot for
accessibility to social facilities, Social Nanny, and Kind Taxi are currently
being implemented. To support the families of servicemen of the special
military operation, a headquarters has been established, a hotline set up, and
psychological support organized.
Special classes for children with autism have been established. Inclusion
is being promoted in sports, cultural, and youth establishments in the city,
with 70% of infrastructure accessible to people with disabilities. Joint
projects are being held with mothers of children with special needs at the «Everything
for Children» center and the Yardem Mosque, where a sports center for people
with disabilities has been created and a rehabilitation center is under
construction.
