Today, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin inspects the readiness of tourism facilities, as well as landscaping of the city for the Russia-ASEAN Summit. He inspected main locations; the renovation of Chernyshevskogo Street, the improvement of the Bulak area and the railway station area of Kazan-1, and visited the Millennium Panorama hotel.
“The Summit is not only a major international event, but also a great impetus for the development of the city's infrastructure. We have already started active preparations - 30 hotels will host about 4,000 guests. We are working on logistics to ensure their comfort and safety. The main resource that such major international events provide is investment in the city's infrastructure. As part of the preparations for the summit, additional roads will be reapired in seven areas, including the renovation of overpasses, the repair and painting of retaining walls, and the replacement and installation of new bus stops. These improvements will have a long-term impact on the residents. After the summit, the improved infrastructure will serve for the residents of Kazan,”- noted Ilsur Metshin.
