Flower arrangements have begun in Kazan. As many as 1.3 million flowers will be planted. About 2,500 planters will be installed along pedestrian areas and main squares. The installation of flower structures has also begun. In total, flower arrangements will cover 68 streets. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the greenhouses of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Gorvodzelenkhoz yesterday.
“Flowers have become the hallmark of the capital, a bright and recognizable feature that creates a special mood in the city. This year, the new greenhouse allowed us to increase the area of flowers planted. Additionally, 22,000 flower planters will be installed at 68 streets. This is the result of the hard work of the employees of Gorvodzelenkhoz, who have been improving the city for many years. This is part of our systematic efforts. Kazan should be not only clean, comfortable, and safe, but also flourishing,” said the Mayor of Kazan.
The new modern greenhouse complex of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Gorvodzelenkhoz allowed to increase the capacity of the greenhouse to 2.5 million flowers per year. As a result, 1.3 million flowers have already been planted on the streets of the city. The planting of flower seedlings in flower beds in Kazan will be completed by the middle of June. The flowerbeds will decorate all areas of the city, including gardens, parks, and squares. As of today, 500,000 flowers have been planted in the city's flowerbeds.
