(KZN.RU, November 11, by Irina Smirnova) The capital of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games has been transformed in anticipation of the international sporting event. This opinion was expressed by Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin at today's Business Monday meeting.
The head of the city said that a few days earlier he had attended a meeting in Sochi, which was conducted by assistant to the President of Russia Igor Levitin. The meeting also reviewed the progress of preparations for the 2014 Olympics. "I came back deeply impressed by the level at which the country is prepared to hold the Olympics. I've never seen anything of the sort at other Winter Olympics," enthusiastically commented the Mayor.
According to Ilsur Metshin, all sports facilities are ready and have already held test events. "I am really happy for my colleagues in Sochi. God willing, it will be the best Olympic Games ever, and we'll have a good reason to be proud of our country," concluded I. Metshin.
