Recall that last Saturday, at a meeting in Belgium, the Executive Committee members of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) decided that the 2019 Winter Universiade should be held in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk.
Ilsur Metshin congratulated his colleagues from the Siberian city on their victory. He noted that experts from Kazan and Tatarstan not only closely followed the bidding, but "were inside it from the very start". "At the request of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and on behalf of the President of Tatarstan, our team was fully immersed in the work. We shared the experience gained during the preparation for our Games," said the head of the city.
