Kazan Mayor presents awards following Universiade results
(KZN.RU, November 15, by Taisiya Basharkina) Another award ceremony on the results of the 27th World Summer Universiade was held at Kazan City Hall today. Among the recipients were members of the Executive Committee of the city, subordinated institutions, regional administrations, prosecutor's office, the Universiade Directorate, as well as environmental and transportation organizations.
Welcoming the participants of the ceremony, Mayor Ilsur Metshin expressed his gratitude to all those who participated in the organization of this major sporting event.
Mr. Metshin handed out awards for significant contributions to the city's development and active participation in the preparation for and holding of the Universiade: "For Labor and Valor for the Benefit of Kazan" and "Distinguished Service to Kazan" badges of merit, as well as honorary certificates and the Mayor's letters of gratitude.
