Ilsur Metshin awards "Universiade heroes"
(KZN.RU, November13) Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin presented awards to public organizations and agencies, various enterprises and business representatives of companies that have made a special contribution to the preparation and conduct of the 27th World Summer Student Games.
Welcoming the participants of the ceremony in Kazan City Hall, Ilsur Metshin stressed that, despite the differences in occupations, the team worked in harmony while organizing and holding the "golden" 2013 Universiade. The mayor recalled that a huge amount work had been accomplished in preparation for the Games by representatives of various departments and branches of Kazan's business community in the past five years.
“Distinguished Service to Kazan” badges, honorary certificates and Mayor's thank-you letters were given to 108 people.
Ilsur Metshin expressed his gratitude to the "Kazan team" and hoped that pride in the Universiade would not leave its members during future events held for the benefit of the city and country.
