(KZN.RU, December 20, by Alisa Rozanova) Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin presented Tatarstan and municipal awards for preparation and holding the 27th World Summer Student Games at a City Hall meeting.
The Mayor presented state and Tatarstan awards, along with diplomas and thank-you letters, for active participation in the preparation and holding of the 2013 Universiade. Thus, the medal "For Merits in the Development of Local Government in the Republic of Tatarstan" was awarded to First Deputy Mayor of Kazan Oscar Prokopyev, the medal "For Valiant Labor" -- to the first deputy head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Rustam Nigmatullin, and Tatarstan President's letter of gratitude was presented to to the head of the Secretariat of the Kazan Municipality Albina Rafikova.
The head of the Executive Committee Information Technology and Communications Administration, Vitaly Utkin, was awarded the title "Honored Worker of Tatarstan's Information and Communications", and the head of the City Duma Department of Public Relations and Mass Communications Administration, Sergei Lobov, received the title "Honored Worker of the Press and Mass Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan".
Ilsur Metshin jokingly called today's ceremony a "Business Monday meeting", noting that 95% of those present were regular participants of City Hall meetings.
"I want to thank you for your creative work. Ahead of us lie new international events, in which, I am sure, we'll acquit ourselves even better," concluded the Mayor.
