(KZN.RU, April 8, by Taisiya Basharkina) Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin held another reception for Kazan residents. The meeting, which was held in the Executive Committee building, was attended by eight people who had sent petitions to the Mayor concerning various issues from housing construction, housing and communal services and city area improvement.
For example, Niyaz Khismetov, PhD (Technology) and RF Honored Machine Builder, proposed to start manufacturing multipurpose street cleaning equipment in Kazan. The specialist registered his invention in China, where it is made. A sample machine can be assembled in two months and brought to Russia. Igor Kulyazhev, deputy director of the Executive Committee and chairman of the Committee for External Improvements, said that the equipment must be tested and prove its worth in urban environment. Ilsur Metshin supported the idea and suggested that the machine be tried out for a month.
"We cannot guarantee that the company will buy these machines, but if they acquit themselves well in practice, then we'll purchase one machine to support your invention. Conditional on its successful operation, we will be ready to assist in its mass production," said the Mayor.
Entrepreneur Evgeny Melekhov proposed another technological innovation – transition to environmentally friendly electric transportation. As the entrepreneur said, in the long term, electric vehicles will be transporting students and could be used as taxis. According to Ilsur Metshin, electric cars are common in Europe, where they are popular and are in great demand. The head of the city recommended that the company start working in this direction and expressed his willingness to support this project.
Kazan residents were also concerned about the state of housing. All petitioners who came to meet with the head of the city today received a response. The Mayor assured the residents that their problems would be carefully considered and, if possible, resolved.
