Names of three Kazan enterprises added to Book of Honor
(Kazan, KZN.RU, April 15, by Guzel Miftahova). The names of three city enterprises have been added to the Kazan Book of Honor. The decision to honor N.I. Feshin Art School, OAO "Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant" and OAO "Kazenergo" was made today at a meeting of the Presidium of the City Duma, held in the City Hall and chaired by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
Kazan Art School is one of the oldest secondary schools in Russia, which will mark its 120 anniversary in September 2015. According to the decision of the Presidium of the City Duma, N.I. Feshin Kazan Art School was entered in the Book of Honor for its significant contribution to the development of culture and fine arts in Kazan, achievements in education and training of creative artists.
This year, "Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant" marks 75 years since its foundation, and its entry in the Book of Honor recognizes its significant contribution to the development of Kazan industry and achievements in the field of optical and opto-electronic engineering.
"Kazenergo" is honored for its significant contribution to the development of Kazan housing and communal services and exemplary thermal and electrical energy provision. This year the company marks 50 years since its foundation.
