On the right bank of Kazanka to appear year-round recreation area
The concept of improvement of the right bank of the river Kazanka was presented today to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The presentation took place in the building of the Kazan City Hall, it was attended by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, acting Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Marat Khusnullin, acting Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of RT Aglyam Sadretdinov, deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of RT - general director of state unitary enterprise "Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt" Irek Faizullin, chief architect of the Kazan Tatiana Prokofieva and others. Project was introduced by the general director of commerce and industry group "Odis" (Yoshkar-Ola), Alexander Odintsov.
The project includes a comprehensive improvement of the right bank of Kazanka (on the Proletarian street) between Lenin and the Kirov dams. Is expected to create a recreation area for residents and visitors to the capital of Tatarstan, which could be used all year round, not just in the spring and summer seasons.
Construction of embankment implies, in particular, sand-wash to create a beach area, terraced hills to the water, construction of shops, clubs, rental agencies of equipment, construction of mini-hotels, etc.
In addition it provides the establishment of pedestrian and bicycle paths, soccer fields. At the river Kazanka project envisages ornamental fountains (that will prevent water logging in this place of the river).
Length of line of improvement is 1400 meters, the total project of area - 14 hectares. The project is proposed to implement by the means of private investors.
Rustam Minnikhanov generally endorsed the concept of improvement of the waterfront. "The idea of improvement is correct, - he said. - Today it is important for the city. "
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, recreational areas in the city near the water today are demanded by the citizens. He also proposed to limit the entry of cars in the alleged recreation area (with the use of radial roads leading to the recreation area).
This would enable to use better walking and cycling paths, more fully realize the concept of recreation area, the press office of President of Tatarstan informs.
