I.Metshin: "During the World Cup 2015 the habitual traffic have to be kept in the city"

July 16, Adelia Galieva). Habitual rhythm of life should remain on the streets
of Kazan in the days of the World Cup in water sports. Therefore it is
important to minimize inconvenience to residents and inform them of the time of
the planned restrictions when organizing the movement of athletes and visitors
during the World Cup. The task was set by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin today at
a meeting of city staff on the preparations for the World Cup 2015.
The chief
of traffic police department of the Office of Ministry of Internal Affairs of
Russia in Kazan Igor Novikov told about regulation and road safety during the
championship. As henoted, traffic of the city will be organized on the same
principles as in the period of the Universiade that has become a kind of a school
for all city services.
Large-scale
road overlap is not planned in the city. At the same time during the ceremonies
- 24 July and 9 August - traffic restriction will apply only to two streets.
Restriction will be also brought on July 22 during a rehearsal.
The head of
the traffic police said that restriction on the movement of freight transport
in the city is already brought. Enter of personal transport in the sports
facilities will be banned.
Ilsur
Metshin ordered to minimize the inconvenience to citizens to keep the habitual
rhythm of city life in the days of the championship. The Mayor also noted the
importance of timely information for residents about the planned changes in the
roads.
