One of the topics that were discussed at today's transmission was the readiness of Kazan to host the World Cup 2015. "8 days remain before the start. Tomorrow the first delegations, the first athletes will begin to arrive. Is the city ready? "- the broadcaster Alexey Kuleshov asked the first question. In response Ilsur Metshin noticed that just two years ago, in preparation for the Universiade similar question was in a completely different tone - with sympathy, expectation and hope. "Today you are asking calmly: whether the city ready? I can state with full responsibility - yes, we are ready. We have done a great job. And I hope it is clear. The competitors and guests, and most importantly - our citizens will see it, "- said Ilsur Metshin.

"There is no hype and excitement that was 2 years ago, before the Universiade” - continued the Mayor. He also recalled that a huge amount of work has been done is in preparation for the Universiade. "Today we do not build 14 interchanges, 44 pedestrian crossings, 3 metro stations, the airport, railway station and  hotels at the same time," - said the Mayor.

Of course, there were serious works in preparation for the World Championships in Aquatics, said the head of the city. "We have learned to work without hectic activity. But we work in system and clearly putting the task. Of course, we did not start to prepare for water Mundial last week or even this year. Having won the right to host the championship, we have clearly painted our basic positions. Everyone knows exactly what to do. Republican and city staff work. We are in full cooperation. We have the timing - from the arrival of the first aircraft to the departure of the last guest ", - said I. Metshin.

Responding to a question of the broadcaster, whom would the Mayor of Kazan support on the world water championship, Ilsur Metshin replied, "I'll be grieving for Kazan. For the city could proudly pass the test. Of course, I will be supporting our team from Kazan, Tatarstan who will take part in the championship. I'll be grieving for athletes and visitors to leave our city with great satisfaction and remembered it. "

Recall, the World Championships in Aquatics, that Russia will hold for the first time, will take place  in Kazan, from July 24 to August 9. 3000 athletes from 190 countries and 6000 visitors confirmed their participation in competitions. During the World Cup 75 sets of medals will be awarded.
