The place of the meeting turned symbolical - near the competition venues, on the waterfront of Kazanka River, where participants could see the city in all its glory.

The head of the city greeted the journalists in Kazan and thanked them for the work, noting that it is through their perceptions and comments of the competition the championship will be seen and appreciated by people all over the world. Thus, the media has the task to convey an incredibly friendly atmosphere that prevails in the city. And judging by the reviews that come from all over the world, media cope with this task, the Mayor said.

"This sport forum is the first for us - neither the Soviet Union nor Russia has taken the world championship in water sports. We wanted to make it special. And, according to FINA President Julio Maglione, it is really special, including the number of participants - it makes us very happy, because there is no holiday without guests. We are holding an event that brings people together. And after these events with a record number of visitors from around the world Kazan rises to another level! "- outlined Ilsur Metshin. According to the head of the capital of Tatarstan, the city with the active support of all residents have prepared for the arrival of guests: infrastructure was updated, over 6 million 100 thousand flowers were planted - 2 times more than for the Universiade.
