I. Metshin assessed the progress of improvement of Lyadskoy garden, "Pine Grove"park and Aksyonov Park

In frames of the Year of parks and gardens announced by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan reconstruction and improvement of green spaces is in full swing in Kazan. Works are carried out simultaneously in 25 parks and squares. Early in the morning Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected progress in the reconstruction of three urban recreation areas - Lyadskoy garden, Aksenov Park and "Pine Grove" Park next to Chemical’s House of Culture.

During the workshop the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin stressed that it is important not only to preserve the existing green areas, but also to continue the action "Green Record" planting of new trees and shrubs in all reconstructed parks and gardens. In addition, the Mayor called for taking into account the opinion of citizens while working in the recreation areas, as it depends on them whether life in parks and squares will be active.

The first point in the route became Lyadskoy garden at st. Gorky. In addition to funds allocated from republic budget "Bank of Kazan" invests the project. Works on paving of walking paths, restoration of the fountain, installation of lighting elements, additional landscaping are carrying out in the garden at the area of ​​2.3 ha. Also small architectural forms and park furniture are ordered, it is planned to establish a children's playground.

As conceived by the designers (LLC "Vov House") Lyadskoy garden should become a space for family vacations, walks and games with the children. That is why the priority importance has restoring of the historic appearance of the garden and fountain. Ilsur Metshin endorsed the concept, noting that the garden, located in the historic part of the city, should reflect the spirit of old times (Ed .: Lyadskoy garden was founded in the XVIII century) and at the same time to be an attractive place for a quiet rest of the citizens.

The program of the revival of parks and gardens in Kazan covers not only small recreation areas, but also relatively large areas. Large-scale renovations are carried out these days in the "Pine Grove" park near Chemical’s House of Culture at st. Dekabristov. This park, founded in 1945, is one of the biggest in Kazan, and a plan for its renovation will be the second largest project after reconstruction of Gorky Park. The investor is group of companies "Taif", which completely took over the landscaping.

Reconstruction of the "Pine Grove" park continues since 2014. According to the project developed by LLC "SPC" Grad "and the creative team of the City Hall, a special importance is given to the preservation of existing green areas: more than 2000 deciduous and about 1500 coniferous trees  are growing at the territory.

In the first phase of improvement the demolition of emergency trees was carried out, instead of it a thousand of new trees were planted, including oak tree at the main entrance from st. Dekabristov. Also, new paths of asphalt concrete paving and paving stones were laid, the traditional area of ​​public festivals was paved, network of outdoor lighting parking was laid at the area along the tracks and on the perimeter of sports fields, entrances to the park and fencing at Kizichesky monastery were equipped.

At the moment, the workers are developing the playground where the teaching playground equipment will be put. As the area is large, several play areas for children of different ages have already been created in the park. Also as part of the second phase of reconstruction it is planned to open a children's cafe. "There are very beautiful, bright children's playgrounds. I am glad doubly that this has been done by our entrepreneurs with hands of our professionals, without the involvement of foreign companies "- said Ilsur Metshin.

In the Year of parks and gardens in Kazan not only to the improvement of green recreation areas is carried out, but also active work on creation of new public spaces with cultural and educational functions is on. So in the center of the city near "Mir" cinema at st. Dostoevsky equipping of the Aksenov square with area of ​​0.5 hectares has begun. Development of the project was entrusted to the architect, the director of the House museum of V.P.Aksenov Irina Aksenova (LLC "Center of technical support in the construction " EkspertProektStroy ").

According to her, the idea of ​​the project is to create in the center a cultural venue for literary readings and festivals, music and poetry evenings, film screenings. For the organization of the latter it is planned to use the capabilities of "Mir" cinema. As designers noted, it is about this concept of works in Aksenov garden fans of the writer dream.

The fact that this is Aksenov Park and not just a green recreation area, a stand with a stylized image of the writer reminiscent, where it is planned to place posters about upcoming cultural events. Ilsur Metshin also supported the idea of ​​designers to perpetuate the name of the writer. "The park must have something that directly reminiscent Aksenov and his life in Kazan. We need to run the contest in the creative circles of the city for the best sketch of a sculpture. It would be good to open a monument in a year to the next “Aksenov Fest” - the Mayor offered.

Construction of the Aksenov Park is carried out only by the budget of Tatarstan. On the territory walkways were upgraded, wooden decks and the scene, garden sofas, lighting elements and urns were set. Repairs will affect the building of "Mir" cinema, which is located nearby: updating of the facade has already started.

Recall by the decision of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan 2015 year in Tatarstan was declared the Year of parks and gardens, 1 billion rubles were allocated for the improvement of them, including 310 million rubles - for Kazan parks. The program of revival of urban parks and gardens includes 29 zones with a total area of ​​150 hectares. The works of the first phase of improvement will be completed in mid-September.
