Rustam Minnikhanov takes office of President of Tatarstan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, September 18). Rustam Minnikhanov has officially become the President of Tatarstan. The solemn inauguration ceremony is held in Kazan in Saidashev GBKH. The event is attended by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

Rustam Minnikhanov said the text of the oath. "I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of the Republic of Tatarstan, to ensure the rights and freedoms of citizens, the sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan, to observe the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan and the laws of the Republic of Tatarstan, in good faith to fulfill my high duties of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan", - he said.

More than 700 people, including deputies, members of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, heads of ministries and departments, enterprises, representatives of federal authorities, public organizations, heads of subjects of the Russian Federation were invited at the inauguration ceremony.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Rustam Minnikhanov on the official assumption of office as President of the Republic of Tatarstan. Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich read the text of the congratulatory letter.

"Dear Rustam Nurgalievich! I congratulate you on the official assumption of office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. You will have a serious and responsible work aimed at the comprehensive development of the region and its economic and social development.
