(Kazan City
KZN.RU, November 9, Ksenia Shvetsova). This year in Kazan almost 300 thousand
doses of vaccine Russian "Sovigripp" were bought for the vaccination
campaign against influenza. Today immunization plan is made at 52%. Vaccination
campaign need to be completed to November 20, otherwise the vaccine will be
considered less effective. Mayor Ilsur Metshin urged Kazan residents to pay attention
to their health and to be vaccinated against influenza in time today at the Business
Monday.
As the
deputy head of the Office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer
Rights Protection and Human Welfare in RT Almas Imamov told, the incidence of
influenza in Kazan increased by 2.5 times compared to last year. However, as
experts note, the incidence for today is lower than epidemiological threshold by
4.3%, although in the near future due to the weather experts predict a
worsening of the situation. According A.Imamov, the main problem is the fact
that the vaccination of the population is moving slowly – it is made up of
little more than half.
As noted by
I. Metshin, citizens still have time to get vaccinated against the flu.
"Health is our main asset, so it should be treated accordingly - said the Mayor.
- Vaccination not only allows employers to save billions of rubles, but to
preserve the health of our residents, what is more importantly". The Mayor
instructed the heads of districts and heads of large companies to bring
attention to the matter.
In general,
Kazan shows good results in terms of sanitary and epidemiological situation -
many dangerous infections are no longer registered in the city. The main role
in this was played by vaccination of the population.
Today the
city achieved standards of vaccination of population in all areas of vaccine immunization,
Almas Imamov said. According to him, flu and SARS make the major share of
morbidity in Kazan. That is why experts urge residents to be attentive to their
health and to be vaccinated in time. As of November 5, the immunization plan in
the city is made by 52%, among children - by 82.6%, among adults - 48%.
In
addition, as Almas Imamov told, to avoid spread of infectious diseases for the
9 months of this year 658 checks on catering and trade enterprises were carried
out.
Also 344
appeals for the work of shops and cafes located in residential buildings,
including, for example, complaints about expired products, were received from
the people. I. Metshin stressed that every complaint from residents will be considered
separately. "Head of the district need to respond to this - I. Metshin instructed.
- Please work every direction in detail with Russian Consumer Supervision, to
spend a month of checking of the institutions and report on the results".
