I. Metshin: "Security is the primary task during the New Year events"

(Kazan City KZN.RU, December 21, Ksenia Shvetsova). This year the New Year's holidays of Kazan children will last for two weeks. During these days children will take part in New Year festivities, concerts, competitions, receive sweet gifts. In the capital of Tatarstan a program "Fun holidays in the New Year" have been developed, which includes activities for school students and for preschoolers. Today at the Business Monday Mayor Ilsur Metshin instructed all responsible services to ensure the safety of citizens in each of the events.

"We need to inform parents, children and visitors in advance about all planned activities - said I. Metshin. - And most importantly - we need to ensure the safety of people. I ask the heads of all districts, local police officers, and traffic police to pay attention to this work. Safety is the primary task for us, and not only at the New Year festivals, but at the all events that will take place".

New Year festivals will be held in all the kindergartens and schools in the city, they will be visited by a total of 180,000 children aged from 3 to 18 years. 29 million 115 thousand rubles were allocated for New Year's gifts for them this year from the city budget. All preschool children will receive gifts, and that is 69117 children, and primary school pupils - 47927 children.

One of the most anticipated events of the winter holidays is a Republican New Year festival, which will be held December 25 at the Ice Palace "Tatneft Arena". In 16 schools hot meals for 2 thousand students from the different regions of the republic, who will attend the presentation, will be organized. In addition, 45 school students of Kazan are invited to the President's New Year festival at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow. As the chief of the Department of Education Ilsur Hadiullin told, it will be visited by the leaders of children's organizations, excellent pupils, winners of Olympiads, contests and competitions.

Kindergartens will join the New Year holidays with considerable benefit to society - for example, in the Center of extracurricular activities of New Savinovsky district creative workshop "New Year Toy" for the production of New Year crafts - gifts to children in Children's Hospice of A.Vavilova Foundation - traditionally opens its doors. A children's center "Olympus" in Privolzhsky district December 28 will organize New Year's show performance for children of citizens who were forced to leave the territory of Ukraine.

"More than 115 children of immigrants from Ukraine study in our city - I.Hadiullin said. - All of them will take part in recreational activities".

During school holidays active children will undergo trainings, visit the hockey friendly matches and other events. In particular, Kirovsky district schools will host the championship in badminton, and in schools of New Savinovsky district sports events for parents and students "Winter Fun" will be held.

By the way, school camps will not be organized in this year's winter vacations - it was moved in the spring, when the children are left without adult supervision most often. As I.Hadiullin explained, this was done to ensure that children have the opportunity to spend time with their parents, who have rest in the New Year holidays mostly.

"The transfer of the work of school camps is a reasonable decision - the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin said. - Now parents have the same New Year holidays, and the best thing that they do is to spent this time together with their children and organize a family vacation".
