(KZN.RU,
September 27, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected
the new building of the boiler house on Portovaya Street, №17, in the morning.
The head of the city assessed the new facility and noted that it is necessary
to make maximum use of the remaining time before the cold weather to prepare
for the heating season in order to avoid unforeseen situations.
Six months
ago, on March 17, the boiler room was out of order. A part of the roof and the
walls of the building collapsed because of the unstable soil and deterioration
of the building. No one was hurt, and the houses served by it were connected to
another boiler house in a temporary scheme. As a result, the old building of
the boiler house was dismantled. In a few months, a new modern block-modular
boiler-house appeared in its place. Despite the fact that the new boiler house
is about three times smaller than the previous one, its capacity remained the
same: 5 MW. As before, it serves 12 houses along streets Devyataev, Zaitsev,
Mekhovshchikov, Portovaya, and one kindergarten. The work of the new boiler house
is fully automated. Thanks to modern equipment, it can be controlled from the
central control room. There are about 10 similar boiler-houses in the city. The
AO “Kazenergo” plans to build a similar one in Konstantinovka Settlement.
The Mayor
of Kazan inspected the new boiler house: both the building and the German
equipment, thanks to which its efficiency, economy and reliability are
increased. In addition, the Mayor asked about the plans of AO “Kazenergo” on
the modernization of other boiler houses in the city. Rustam Abdulkhakov, the
general director of the company, told that approximately 30 out of 150
facilities involved in energy production are more than 50 years old. “After the
incident with the collapse of the boiler house, we checked all our facilities.
We invite experts in the industrial safety of buildings. They gave us
conclusions, on the basis of which we formulate the work plan”, he said. Repair
of some boiler houses is carried out at once: walls are strengthened, the roof
is replaced. It is planned to start updating others later. In total this year,
a complex modernization of equipment and reconstruction of 4 boiler houses is
planned.
Ilsur
Metshin instructed all responsible departments to pay special attention to the
preparation for a new heating season. Last year it started on September 20 and
ended on May 3. Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive
Committee, assured the Mayor that the infrastructure for the winter is ready,
it remains only to issue some documents. “We are ready. The most important
thing is that the winter would be normal. And now, you need to take everything
one more time”, concluded the Mayor.
Dmitry
Anisimov, the chairman of the Housing and Communal Services Committee, and
Andrey Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’
administration, also took part in the inspection of the boiler house.
