On November 3,
the collection of humanitarian supply for the mobilized citizens and employees
of the Timer and Alga battalions, as well as their families and residents of
the new territories will start in the capital of Tatarstan. There will be 17
collection points of humanitarian supply in all districts of Kazan, and a
warehouse opened recently on the Gorky Highway will become a central acquisition
point of the charitable goods. This was announced by Ildar Shakirov, Deputy Head
of the Executive Committee of the city, at a meeting of the headquarters on
social and humanitarian issues related to partial mobilization.
“We have been
helping Donbass since April as part of the activities of the Kazan branch of
the United Russia party. In August, the first tons of humanitarian food supplies
were sent to Lisichansk. In September, humanitarian aid was provided to
children, on October 24 we sent a humanitarian aid with warm clothes and food. We
will organize the systematic work,”- Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of
the Republic of Tatarstan, said at the meeting.
According to the
Mayor, it is necessary to inform Kazan residents, industrial enterprises and
business about the needs of the mobilized and their families, as well as
residents of Lisichansk. “I have no doubt that will organize the collection of the
necessary humanitarian supply for the residents of Lisichansk, families of the
mobilized and all those in need. I want to thank everyone who participates in
this work,”- I. Metshin added.
A warehouse with
an area of 800 sq.m on Gorkovskoe shosse, 53a has been determined as a single
point of collection and acquisition of goods. There are about 200 items in the
list of necessary goods, including food and non-food products, household
chemicals, building materials and medicines.
“The warehouse
has already started working, and we are taking the first supplies. Six
organizations of the city supplied 5 tons of food and 10 tons of stretch film
for the needs of Lisichansk. In addition, a convoy sent on Monday with
essential goods and building materials collected by the road organizations of
Kazan arrived there today,”- I. Shakirov said.
Tomorrow, 17 collection points for humanitarian aid will open in Kazan, 6 of them will be
located at the shopping facilities, the rest at sport venues. Each point will
be marked with the Good Kazan. Such goods as canned food, cereals, pasta, tea
and sugar, apparel and shoes, household chemicals and personal hygiene products
are accepted here. “These goods are extremely necessary in all areas of
assistance,”- the speaker stressed.
In addition, for
sending to Lisichansk, anyone can bring outerwear, shoes and children's
products, including food and diapers. The mobilized will need flashlights,
disposable tableware and other goods. In total, the list includes more than 50
