This year,
more than 50 patriotic activities were held in Kazan youth clubs, which brought
together more than 5 thousand teenagers. This was announced by Aliya
Zagidullina, the Chair of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs, at the Business
Monday meeting.
“Patriotic education is a task that requires a delicate approach, - said
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. – We
cannot force a person to become a patriot, it is impossible to become one under
duress, this is a big, sensitive and important job. We see how important it is
today.”
According to the mayor, everyone contributes in their place. It can be snow
removal, repair of residential buildings and social institutions, construction
of roads and workplaces – all this is a reason to be proud of your country.
Youth clubs are involved in the patriotic
education of children. Today, the Municipal Budgetary Institution “Podrostok”
comprises 65 clubs. About 14 thousand children and teenagers attend them every
day.
For example, the participants of the aircraft modeling section created
large-scale models of the most mass-produced aircrafts of the Red Army,
including the Pe-2 produced in Kazan. “The guys are not just creating models,
they are studying a large layer of history related to these aircrafts,”-
A.Zagidullina noted.
Health camps are also actively involved in the
work on patriotic education of the younger generation. More than 40 thousand
children had a rest in 24 camps this summer.
Every year, the programs in the camps are updated with new thematic activities.
Children especially love meetings with people whose professions are related to
military service and the defense of the Homeland.
Three patriotic sessions with the participation of more than 700 people
took place in the Narmonka recreation camp. Physical training, military medley
activities, sports competitions and various games were organized for the
children. Qualified coaches and officers worked with the children from the
Cadet schools of Kazan.
Troubled teenagers are also engaged in the work
on patriotic education. For example, the Duslyk social rehabilitation center
for children and adolescents with deviant behavior organized trips to the
museums of the Kazan Helicopter Plant and the Kazan Motor-Building Production
Association, as well as to Ulyanovsk and Cheboksary. In total, more than 100
children aged 3 to 17 years participated in 19 patriotic activities this year.
In 7 secondary vocational educational organizations, there are departments
of the Youth Army for children aged 11 to 18 years. In total, the Kazan Youth
Army includes about 3,500 children who are interested in military sciences and
the history of the country.
