The yard of three residential buildings on Chetaeva street, which was
included in the top 200 priority sites for landscaping in 2024, was inspected
by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin today. Twenty-eight additional parking
spaces will be equipped in the yard, about 30 small architectural forms and
equipment for children's and sports grounds will be installed, pedestrian paths
will be laid on an area of 1,100 square meters, and 4,700 square meters of
asphalt will be renewed. Additionally, chestnut trees will be planted, and a
rubber coating will be laid on one of the children's playgrounds. The work is planned
to be completed by August 30, and these improvements will affect 600 residents.
This year, the territory of 454 residential buildings with a total area
of more than 530,000 square meters, in which 100 thousand citizens live, will
be landscaped in Kazan. Presently, the work under the Our Yard program in the
city has been completed by 70.5%: the territories of 126 residential buildings
have been repaired, landscaping continues at 222 buildings.
Work in the yard of on Chetaeva Street began on July 1, and it is planned
to complete them by August 30. “Thanks to the Rais (head) of Tatarstan Rustam
Minnikhanov and the program Our Yard, yards are being updated. These residential
buildings on Chetaeva Street are a quarter of a century old, and there were
territories that had not seen landscaping for 50-65 years”. The head of the
city, Ilsur Metshin, thanked the residents for their active participation in
the program, not only through voting, but also through fundraising for
additional parking spaces and replacing the sandy surfaces with rubber flooring.
Ilsur Metshin reminded that, according to the five-year program, 2,283 residential
buildings in Kazan will be renovated by 2024. Half a million citizens will
benefit from positive changes in their neighborhoods.
The chairman of the property management company, Margarita Belevskikh,
has been living in a house on Chetaeva Street since 2004. According to her, the
neighbors live actively and amicably, keep the yard in order. She told the Mayor
that previously the yard had no equipped sidewalks, so residents had to use the
roadway. “We have been asking for a long time to make a sidewalk on the outside
of the house so that children can go to school.”
Under the republican program, pedestrian paths with an area of 1,100 square
meters will be equipped in the courtyard and 127 more square meters of
sidewalks will be repaired. 4.7 thousand square meters of asphalt will also be
updated. As of today, road works have been completed by 60%.
The number of parking spaces has been increased to 165 by improvement of
the unused areas. In addition, the Home Owners' Association has provided 29
more parking spots on the outside of one of the buildings. Earlier, the heating
network was repaired in the yard.
There were three playgrounds, which are currently being transformed. Two
playground complexes with swings, a sandpit, and a merry-go-round will be
installed for younger residents. According to Margarita Belevskikh, residents
have decided to install rubber flooring on one of the playgrounds and plant
chestnut trees around the perimeter.
Fourteen benches for recreation will be installed near each site and
near the entrances. Additionally, 10 trash cans, 18 parking posts, and 28
lighting posts will be placed in the yard - the work has been completed by 40%.
A waste collection area will be set up instead of old metal containers, the
regional operator of the management company will purchase new containers with
rollers and lids.
