Ilsur Metshin: “Our Yard program was initiated to bring residents together”

A new large children’s and sports ground will be equipped for the residents of houses at 53, 55 and 55A Yulius Fuchik Street, under the "Our Yard" program. Previously, each of these residential buildings had its own territory. Now, a single recreation area will have a convenient pedestrian connection, along with landscaping. In addition, the passage between houses 59 and 69, leading to the Republican Infant Orphanage, has been repaired. Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of this work.

The fourteen-story buildings on Yulius Fuchik Street were put into operation in 2007. The landscaping project covered an area of almost 13,000 square meters. New asphalt will be laid over an area of 7,500 square meters. The roadworks has been completed by 65%.

“I remember this yard very well, I used to come here before. The Our Yard program allowed to improve the conditions for 500 residents of these three houses. This year, 100,000 residents from 454 residential buildings will benefit from this program by the beginning of autumn,”- said the head of the city.

Children's and sports grounds will be located on a sand surface. Three playgrounds, a slide, two swings and rocking horses, a spring motorcycle, and a log have been installed for young residents. A workout area is designed here those who enjoy outdoor activities.

To create the new area, it was decided to move the parking lot closer to house № 53. The number of parking spaces will remain the same – 71, but an additional six parking spaces will be provided in the inner passage. In addition, eight new benches will be installed in the yard.

Albert Salikhov, the head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky city districts, has reported that the outdoor lighting systems have been in poor condition for a long time. At the request of residents, the lamp posts near each entrance will be repaired and light bulbs replaced. Additionally, the road service has left green spaces in the yard.

“The program has brought together residents, who, after discussions, have agreed with road builders and architects to redesign parking areas for children's and sports grounds,”- said the head of administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky city districts.

Houses № 52 and № 55 are managed by the Monolit property management company, while house № 55A is managed by the Homeowners' Association (HOA). After the completion of work on the republican program, all violations in the yard will be eliminated, and 5,000 flowers and trees will be planted, as announced by Larisa Fatakhutdinova, Director of the Monolit property management company.

“The Our Yard program was initiated to bring residents together. I see that you have many small gardens here, and you are taking good care of them,”- said Ilsur Metshin.

At the expense of the property management company, a modernized container site with three containers for separate waste collection is being installed in the yard.

Work on the republican program began on June 17. Before that, the heating system was additionally repaired in the yard. The landscaping is scheduled to be completed by August 30.

For reference, this year, under the Our Yard program in Kazan, 454 house territories will be landscaped. Asphalt concrete pavement with an area of more than 500,000 square meters will be updated. This improvement will affect about 100 thousand residents.
