(KZN.RU, October 12, by Renat Shirmanov) Another massive planting of trees and shrubs within the framework of the "Green Record" project was held in Kazan. The Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin took part in the planting of adult trees on Serov Street.
In total, over 2,000 new trees will be planted in Kazan in the current phase of the "Green Record". The trees will be planted simultaneously at multiple sites.
"The implementation of our project started in the spring of this year in anticipation of the Universiade. We planted 10,000 adult trees at the time. Our plans remain unchanged – every year we'll plant 50,000 new trees on our streets, in yards and gardens. I'm confident we'll see a new "green" Kazan soon," said Ilsur Metshin.
