2013 Universiade awards presented at City Hall
(KZN.RU, October 16, by Taisiya Basharkina) National and municipal awards were given out at the capital's City Hall prior to the 25th session of Kazan City Duma. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin presented the awards to the best of the best city residents who distinguished themselves during the preparation and holding of the Universiade.
"Thanks to you, we had the most memorable and large-scale event in the history of Student Games. It is a great honor for us,” Ilsur Metshin addressed the honorees. “Every victory has its heroes, but, unfortunately, the auditorium cannot accommodate all those who deserve public recognition for their work. We have invited the winners in each category of the Universiade," said the Mayor.
The Mayor of Tatarstan's capital congratulated all the honorees. "The ovation you received was well deserved because all of you have made a major contribution. Thank you!" concluded the Mayor.
