Ilsur Metshin meets with Valentina Matviyenko
(KZN.RU, January 14). Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko met with Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. The meeting took place in Moscow, in the Federation Council building.
The parties exchanged views on the outcome of the 2013 Universiade in Kazan. "Kazan is one of the most beautiful cities not only of Russia but of the world. What you had done in preparation for the Student Games is mind-boggling. This concerns the sportsmanship, transportation infrastructure and Universiade organization," said Valentina Matvienko.
The socio-economic development of the capital of Tatarstan was also discussed at the meeting.
