In Kazan will appear two new monuments to war heroes
Two new monuments to the heroes of the Soviet Union Dmitry Mikhailovich Karbyshev and Alexander Grigorievich Vasilchenko to be built in Kazan. This told the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, speaking at a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and celebration the 65th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting chaired by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was held today in Naberezhnye Chelny.
According to the report of Ilsur Metshin, in early 2009 Office of the Mayor decided to put in order all the monuments and plaques associated with the Great Patriotic War. To date 35 monuments were restored, were installed 53 plaques. Work on the reconstruction continue at additional 23 sites.

The Mayor noted that for this work were brought budgetary sources and also a means of good people who are not willing to remain indifferent - a special thank to them for that. "And it is especially important that it involves our children in the children's action "Obelisk", - he stressed.
In addition work is carried out on landscaping around the obelisk areas, parks and streets, bearing the names of the heroes.
