Issues of local self-government are discussed in Kazan
(Kazan City KZN.RU, November 13). Today in Kazan in HTEC "Corston" a plenary session of the general meeting of members of the All-Russian Congress of Municipalities is held. The forum is attended by the deputy presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District Oleg Melnichenko, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, representatives of the Council of Municipalities of the country, members of Congress and other officials.
The general meeting of the All-Russian Congress of Municipalities is held in Kazan from 12 to 14 November under the chairmanship of President of All-Russian Congress of Municipalities, Chairman of the State Duma on the federal structure and the Local Government Victor Kidyaev.
As the portal of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan informs, the agenda of the meeting includes such important points as changes in the Charter of All-Russian Congress of Municipalities, adoption of new members (among them - municipalities of Crimea, Sevastopol and Karelia), the signing of a cooperation agreement with the All-Russian Council of Local Self-Government. The meeting will also discuss perspective directions of activities of the Congress.
