Mayor Ilsur Metshin instructed to increase the efficiency of the services involved in winter cleaning of territories at a meeting with the heads of districts and heads of asset management companies. The event was held in the administration of Moskovsky and Kirovsky districts.

"The level of improvement that we set in the summer in Kazan, including your work, need to be maintained – the Mayor addressed the assembled heads of districts and representatives of management companies. - People are getting used to the fact that Kazan becomes well-maintained and cleaner and we need only to increase the bar."

The main topics of the meeting were the issues of maintenance of yards of the city in the winter and retrofitting of techniques in district administrations. Before the meeting part of the equipment that will be used for cleaning of the yards this winter was shown to the head of the city. There big cleaning machines and quite small, used to clean sidewalks have been presented.

In general, each district of Kazan is staffed with harvesting technology and is now ready to meet the coming snowstorms fully prepared. As the head of the administration of Moskovsky and Kirovsky districts Damir Fattakhov said, the subsidy program greatly helped with the purchase of specialized equipment. Managing companies can now purchase new snow machines at 8.5% per annum.

This measure of support helps to solve almost all the problems with the lack of specialized equipment.

According to the Chairman of the Committee of housing and communal services of Kazan Iskander Giniyatullin, 1577 janitors work for contractors in Kazan today. At the same time, in spite of the mechanization of labor and improved working conditions for janitors, lack of completing of the stuff is felt. Experts agree that low wages prevent solving this problem.

Attraction of personnel from the regions of the republic can solve the problem with the lack of janitors. For their location buildings that are owned by the municipality can be used. Mayor of Kazan said that the head of the district has the right to determine the functionality of these buildings and the possibility of their conversion at the hostel.

As Iskander Giniyatullin told, more than 70 contractors, 16 major operating companies are serving total territory, which has about 4.5 million square meters of cleaning area. The most difficult parts of the city are not the house territory, but those that are adjacent to non-residential premises - for example, to the shops. Owners must clean it, but they often do it reluctantly.

In addition to penalties this year negligent public utilities will face the presence in a kind of anti-rating. At the initiative of the Mayor of the city a competition will be held, the results of which will not only encourage the most diligent workers and contractors, but also will note all the negligent public utilities.
