I. Metshin: "Our task is to create the same conditions for life in the city and settlements"

(Kazan City KZN.RU, December 9, Ksenia Shvetsova). Mayor Ilsur Metshin today examined reconstructed bridge over the river Noksa in the settlement of Voznesenskoye. Updated transport artery decided a lot of problems of over five thousand residents of the settlement - it ensured traffic safety and left the issue of the annual flooding of the road in past.

"Five thousand inhabitants were waiting for the opening of this bridge, it really is "a way of life" - said I. Metshin. - Thanks to the leadership of the Republic, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and everyone who participated in the reconstruction, for they heard our request and completed the job promptly. Now villagers are able to move safely across the river Noksa". Attending the event, the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Safin, in turn, thanked the Mayor of Kazan and the city authorities for the fruitful joint work on the implementation of social projects. The Mayor noted that due to renovation it was possible to solve one of the most acute problems for the villagers - earlier every year the road flooded, because of what to a lot of accidents happened.

Bridge over the river Noksa in the settlement of Voznesenskoye was renovated in October this year, at the same time it was opened in the test mode of the cars. Recently the work of the bridge was completely finished: artificial lighting was installed, the city engineering networks and communications were moved, exits to the surrounding streets were built, a temporary back-road  was dismantled.

More than 5000 people live at the total residential area in the settlement of Voznesenskoye and Union of Officers. Bridge over Noksa River is the only link between the residential area and the city. This transport artery has demanded immediate reconstruction for a long time, because the low capacity of the bridge with a single line created permanent traffic congestion. And in case of an accidents closures happened, including for vehicles of emergency services and public transport, as there are no alternative routes. Besides, the old bridge was built in 1995 and was designed for small number of private vehicles. However, in recent years, individual housing has been actively built in the settlement, and now many of the residents have cars. In addition, daily a large number of trucks and public transportation pass the bridge.

All these problems were solved - a new bridge is designed for two-way traffic, and the total span length is 33 meters. Sidewalks with width of 1.5 meters are on both sides. In addition, at the request of residents of the area drainage from surrounding areas with installation of three culverts was built, pedestrian sidewalks were organized. In addition, builders have replaced the asphalt on the approaches to the construction site and secured two sections of trail to the entrance to houses.

Not only residents of Voznesenskoye, but also of the surrounding settlements evaluated the benefits of the new facility, which helps to reduce travel time greatly.
