Creating an accessible environment, transparency of the municipal policy and the preservation of historic monuments - these are the main challenges facing the municipality in the coming year dealt with by the head of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov in his annual address to the State Council of Tatarstan. Those in charge are the building owners, city administration, law enforcement bodies, local government departments and supervisory bodies," said I. Metshin. He emphasized that a plan for Kazan's cultural heritage protection areas will be adopted at the next session .
Another task set by the President of Tatarstan is providing economic justification for the utility tariffs. Kazan residents are increasingly outraged by the opacity of the utility tariff increases. "We need to make them transparent "to the penny", to explain to the population how its money is being spent," said I. Metshin. For this purpose, we need to make information accessible and open to the public. We should hold public hearings in district administrations and create a telephone hotline.
