(KZN.RU, September 15). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and others visited the agricultural fair and the exhibition “Day of the Gardener-2018” in Kazan today. The fair opened on the site of the Agro-industrial park “Kazan”.

Rustam Minnikhanov and his entourage inspected the exposition of the exhibition-festival of garden and vegetable farming “Day of the Gardener-2018” (Tat. “Bakcha-2018”). The event is held in order to popularize gardening in the Republic of Tatarstan and for the formation of a positive image of a gardener.

Manufacturers of Verkhneuslonsky, Nizhnekamsky, Pestrechinsky, Tukaevsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsky, Laishevsky, Almetyevsky municipal districts, Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny took part in the formation of the exhibition “Day of the Gardener”. They presented products of leading horticultural non-profit partnerships, garden tools, agricultural machinery, and seedlings.

Congratulating all the participants of the event on the holiday, the President of the RT noted that gardeners are selfless people. “We see how they work in their small plots and achieve success”, marked Rustam Minnikhanov.

“Gardeners need the support that is being given them today: the creation of infrastructure, the provision of electricity, water, road construction. In addition, the self-taxation program will also help them”, said the President.

Then the guests got acquainted with the products of the agricultural fair: various types of cheese, vegetables, and berries. Rustam Minnikhanov posted in his account a photo of fresh raspberries, one of the late-ripening varieties. Then the President of the RT and the Mayor of Kazan talked with the producers and visitors of the fair.

From September 15 to December 29, traditional Saturday agricultural fairs will be held in Tatarstan. Agricultural fairs with low prices opened on sites in Kazan and in Naberezhnye Chelny. The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the RT informs that in addition to agricultural products, it will be possible to buy food products of daily demand. There are daily fairs in addition to the weekly ones.
