The construction
of a block-modular boiler house of Kazenergo was completed in December on
Yuzhno-Promyshlennaya Street in the Privolzhsky district of Kazan. It will
start operation in the next heating season and will provide heat to seven
residential buildings for more than 600 people, as well as to social
facilities. Today the boiler house was inspected by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur
Metshin.
“This part of
the Privolzhsky district of Kazan was a potentially challenging area and required
a new boiler house. With the support of the republican authorities, the
construction has been completed, the last preparations for the launch are
underway. In the next heating season, the boiler house will begin to provide heat
to residents. It is important to prepare such facilities in advance so that
residents have a reliable source of heat,”- Ilsur Metshin said.
A new boiler house
on Yuzhno-Promyshlennaya Street replaced the old one, which belonged to JSC
Tatnefteprodukt. The facility required renovation of heating networks due to
their wear.
Construction
work began last spring and was completed in December. Before the start of the
next heating season, commissioning work will be carried out. The boiler house
will provide heat to 630 residents, a preschool, a branch of polyclinic No. 3
and dentistry No. 9.
As Rustam Abdulkhakov, Director General of Kazenergo, told the Mayor of
the city, the boiler house is equipped with modern automated equipment and does
not require operators. Data on the operation of boilers and pumps are
automatically sent to the control room located in Kazenergo at 162 Gabdulla
Tukaya Street.
The efficiency of the new facility is 92% – this is higher than that of
the old boiler house, which will reliably provide heat to connected facilities.
The installed thermal capacity of the boiler house is 5 MW. In addition, there
is a backup fuel economy provided here – in case of emergencies, the boiler
house will be able to run on diesel. The facility is equipped with video
cameras for safety reasons.
Rustam
Abdulkhakov reported the Mayor on the equipment installed in the new boiler house.
“In general, there is only 10-15% of imported equipment here, the rest is produced
in Belarus, Kazan, Moscow and St. Petersburg, where we purchased three boilers.
We can say that everything except the burners is domestic,”- the Director
General of the enterprise noted. He also added that this year Kazenergo plans
to test the burners made in Kazan. If the tests are successful, the company
will switch to locally produced equipment.
Presently, Kazenergo operates 125 boiler houses and provides thermal
energy to 27% of consumers in the city. In case of emergency situations, the
enterprise has emergency teams, which promptly respond to incoming requests and
eliminate problems in scheduled time – up to 6 hours.
This year, the company plans to reconstruct three facilities at 5
Kurchatov Street, 5 Zhukovskogo Street and 6 Topolovaya Street. As Rustam
Abdulkhakov explained, the update is required due to the depletion of these
boiler houses and the obsolescence of equipment.
Albert Salikhov, head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and
Privolzhsky districts of Kazan, accompanied the Mayor during the visit.
