21,200 Kazan residents ran National Cross Country Race last Sunday
(KZN.RU, September 24, by Taisia Basharkina) 21,200 Kazan residents ran the 2012 National Cross Country Race. This was announced by the chairman of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports Ilgiz Fahri. He noted that the race was held in 80 cities of Russia last Sunday. The capital of Tatarstan has held the race for the ninth consecutive year.
“The national cross country race is a great event and, along with the Ski Track of Russia, has become the biggest mass sporting event not only in the city and the Republic, but also in the entire country,” said Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
