The updating of the fleet of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal continues in Kazan. It will significantly increase the timing of accident elimination, implement modern technologies and improve the working conditions of employees. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the new equipment.
The emergency crews received modern vehicles designed to eliminate blockages, maintain sewer collectors, pump silt, and work at pumping stations – cranes, backhoe loaders, mobile workshops, and road vehicles.
The new vehicles are capable of operating in difficult conditions. The excavators is designed to operate at depths of up to 6.4 meters, compact channel washing machines for working in cramped conditions of yards. They are equipped with 120-meter hoses and equipment with a pressure from 160 to 240 bar.
Rustam Abdulkhakov, Director General of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal, noted the performance of the new machine: “They are more powerful. Then new pumps cope in 8-10 minutes and at the same time pump out 10 cubic meters. Productivity has become significantly higher. There is another channel washing machine – a more advanced one, with an arrow and a hose, which allows you to work in the locations of wells.”
The vacuum loader has also been updated. This vehicle is designed to operate at depths up to 25 meters and is capable of servicing pipelines of any diameter from 0.05 to 2 meters. Multifunctional complexes combine the capabilities of a sludge pump, a manipulator and a hydrodynamic installation.
“Vodokanal is one of the most important strategic enterprises in the city. Its functional operation ensures the comfort our residents. Vodokanal maintains almost 4,000 kilometers of networks, and this year, specialists have eliminated more than 12,400 blockages. This year, 30 modern vehicles have been purchased, 24 of them are brand new cars, and six more have undergone repairs. We can say that the company is fully prepared today. It is very important for us and our residents that accidents and blockages are promptly eliminated. We will continue to support Vodokanal in all directions,”- said Ilsur Metshin.
