(KZN.RU, April 10, Ekaterina Andreyeva) The renovated Sveshnikov house, located in the Kirov district of Kazan, will restore this part of the city to its former glory. Further reconstruction of historic buildings will make the Kirov district attractive to potential residents and investors. This opinion was expressed by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin during his inspection of the building, which is nearing completion.
It is worth recalling that the Sveshnikov house, built in 1833, is a monument of national significance. The reconstruction of the building began last September. According to its owner -- the general director of the LLC "Neftek" Yuri Tyukhtin – everything has been restored to its original form - the roof, hardwood floors and partitions in the attic. The brickwork is100% original.
The moldings and pilasters have been fully restored. Thus, the stucco ceiling in the big hall on the second floor (merchant Sveshnikov used it as the living room) looks as if it was made in the 19th century.
Ilsur Metshin praised the restoration work: “Obviously, it has been done with love in the first place and, secondly, professionally. The owner is our countryman, who currently lives in London, but has invested in Kazan, which is very good”.
