Mayor of Tatarstan capital Ilsur Metshin informed journalists about it after having signed a Memorandum on cultural cooperation between Kazan Mayor’s Office and Cirque du Soleil Rus company.
Also negotiations are already carried on for possibility of the invitation of circus performers on opening ceremony of the World summer Universiade of 2013, informs news agency "Tatar-inform".
An agreement that Cirque du Soleil show “Corteo” will be held in Kazan on August 21-September 26, 2010. Ilsur Metshin emphasized that Kazan will have an opportunity to see the circus’s new show in the nearest future. Tatarstan capital will be included in the schedule of the Canadian circus, which present new shows each three years.
“Kazan people will have a chance to see the new show of Cirque du Soleil before the Universiade-2013,” the mayor said.
Moreover, Ilsur Metshin informed, talks on possibility of inviting the circus artists to take part in the World Summer Universiade-2013 in Kazan.
Note that together with the superstars of popular music artists of the Cirque du Soleil entertained the audience during the 74th ceremony of Oscar, 50th anniversary ceremony of Grammy Awards. In 2009 in Moscow this circus opened a music contest "Eurovision".
