Clinic of Kazan Medical University will be repaired

Today another tour of the historic center of Kazan by the republic's and the city leadership took place. The main route this time ran through the streets Volkov - Butlerov.

The first object was the psychiatric clinic (st. Volkov, 80). It is an object of cultural heritage of regional significance - "Building a psychiatric clinic, 1913, architect I.I.Bryuno". The building is an example of the architecture of Kazan late 19th - early 20th centuries. The building was once intended for a medical institution (clinic).

Now here is the structural division of the Republican Clinical Psychiatric Hospital named after academician Bekhterev. The building has the dilapidated condition of the walls and ceilings, arches, brick vaults. Repair of heating systems, facades requires, replacement of windows is needed. Explanations on the object the Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Adel Vafin gave.

Then the participants went to the complex of hospital buildings near the Kazan State Medical University. The buildings are part of the university clinics. All of them were built in 1897-1900 years, including the building of V.K.Menshikov’s Clinic, where the placement of children's pulmonology center today is planned and dermatovenerologic republican hospital. This clinic, unlike the others, was not built on the state-owned money, but at the personal funds of the Kazan entrepreneur I.A. Alafuzov. The third object of the complex clinic is birth hospital named after Gruzdev, year of construction - 1896.

Minister of Health of RT said that all the buildings are in need of further examination and the creation of a reconstruction plan. He also noted that the Gruzdev hospital is significant object for many physicians of republic, one of the best maternity hospitals with its own history and traditions. Here today obstetrical and gynecological, neonatal and so on departments are located. Overhaul was conducted in 1987. The head of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan has offered to make repairs in the building and to leave the maternity department that meets modern requirements.

Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the building of Gruzdev hospital (st. Tolstoy, 4), including lecture halls, department of obstetrics and gynecology of KSMU. He instructed to examine the technical condition of the building to further creation of repair and reconstruction plan.

In addition, Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to equip the yard of the clinic, as well as the area near the building where the monument-bust to surgeon Alexander Vishnevsky is located.

The next the object of cultural heritage of regional significance "Manor of Likhachev, outbuilding, XIX century" (the intersection of streets Mushtari and Butlerov) was, where after the restoration the restaurant is situated.

Then the leaders inspected the building on the street Mushtari, 11, where Eye Hospital is located today. This is the former building of "Kazan branch of the Noble Land Bank, 1914" - an object of cultural heritage of regional significance. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to repair the roof around the perimeter of the building, as well as to repair the facades.

The building of the Republican Clinical Eye Hospital (st.Butlerov, 14) is also in need of repair and restoration. So, restoration of the walls, floors, etc., strengthening of the foundation is needed. It requires restoration of all the surviving door blocks. The building is an object of cultural heritage of regional significance - "House of industrialist, 1915, architect F. Gavrilov". The mansion was built in 1915 for the industrialist Zobnin, designed by architect Gavrilov.

At the end of the bypass presentation of the project of construction of a multifunctional complex on the street Butlerov - Nekrasov (company DynamikGlobal) tool place. The project was discussed at a meeting of the City Planning Board in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Executive Committee of Kazan and returned for revision. Today several variants of facades of buildings were presented. Explanations on the draft were given by chief architect of Kazan Tatiana Prokofieva and the Assistant of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova.

Rustam Minnikhanov offered to modify the options for colors of facades, as well as to hold a competition for the project of improvement of public spaces and green areas on the hill.
