By the new school year, a new school for 1,501 students will open in the
Privolzhsky district of Kazan on Rauis Gareyev Street. The progress of
construction was inspected today by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin.
Finishing and engineering works are underway now, as well as facade renovation is
nearing completion. A total of 225 people work at the facility.
“Kazan is developing, and the
Privolzhsky district on is one of the fastest growing. New residential
buildings and complexes are being built nearby the prospective school, – the
head of the city noted. – This school is very much awaited by students and
parents. The project meets all modern requirements, and in September we will
welcome students here,”- the head of the city said.
The new school, the construction of which began in March 2022, will
allow unloading of the lyceum and accepting new students – now new apartment houses
are being built in the district.
Ilsur Metshin got acquainted with the design project of the school,
noting that it is necessary to make adjustments taking into account the
proposals of the teaching staff of the school. “The school should have
everything for the development of children, their education, physical activity
and extracurricular activities. It is necessary to work out the project in
dialogue with designers, teachers and experts,”- the Mayor concluded.
For reference, another school for 1,224 students, which will be opened
by September 1, is being built in the Novo-Savinovsky district. As of today, there
are 169 municipal schools in the capital of Tatarstan. In total, more than 166
thousand students gain knowledge at educational institutions of the city.
The visiting meeting was attended by First Deputy head of the Executive
Committee of the city of Azat Nigmatzyanov, head of the administration of the
Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Albert Salikhov, Deputy Head of the
Education Department of the Executive Committee of Kazan Albert Akhmetov and
others.
