The construction of the first section of the Voznesensky Tract in the
Sovetsky district of Kazan is planned to be completed in November. Underground
pedestrian crossings, tunnels and a railway overpass were built at the section
with a length of almost 4 km. The bottom layer of asphalt has already been laid
on almost the entire site. The progress of work was inspected by the Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
“One of the main projects of the
year is the completion of the first stage of the construction of the
Voznesensky Tract. Despite the weather, construction is on schedule, the use of
modern technologies allows to work efficiently. Fifty-seven vehicles and 200
builders work daily in two shifts at both sites to implement a project that is
important to us,”- the Mayor said.
Work on the first section of the highway from Gvardeyskaya Street to
Pobedy Avenue is 90% completed. All engineering structures have been built –
three underground pedestrian crossings at the intersection of the Voznesensky
Tract with Adel Kutuya St., Rodina St. and Nazib Zhiganov St., a railway
overpass and two tunnels along Gvardeyskaya Street and Pobedy Avenue.
Alongside, a construction of a highway is underway on the second section
from Pobedy Avenue to the M7 Volga highway with a length of almost 8 km. The
work started in March 2022. It is planned that two aboveground and two
underground pedestrian crossings, two overpasses, bridges over the Noksa and
Krutovka rivers will appear on this site. The construction of the Voznesensky Tract
is planned to be completed in 2024.
The construction of the highway served as an impetus for the development
of the site with a total area of 293 hectares within the boundaries of Rodina
St., Daurskaya St., Gvardeyskaya St. and Adel Kutuya St. According to the
planning project of 2021, it is planned to build apartment buildings and social
facilities there. “There is an active development of the territory, apartment
buildings will be built here instead of an industrial zone. We have taken into
account the interests of residents and developers, so the plan for the
construction of the Voznesensky Tract also provides for driveways,”- I.
Kulyazhev drew attention. “No doubt, such large–scale road projects allow
specialists in allied industries to get a job, and therefore it is important to
continue the construction of the residential buildings, social facilities and
road infrastructure,”- Ilsur Metshin noted.
