A sports center and a gym accessible for children with disabilities will be equipped at the Kazan school No. 49
This year, the
creation of an inclusive cluster will continue at the Kazan school No. 49. In
addition to the creative workshops opened last year, a public sports and
recreation complex and an additional building with a gym are being built at the
school. This was reported to the Mayor of the capital of the republic of
Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin at a summing-up meeting on the results of the work by
the head of the administration of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky
districts Fanis Nurmukhametov.
A public sports and recreation center is being built under the “Sport is the Norm of Life” federal program of the Demography national project. Up to 100 people will be able to train here at the same time. The sports center will comprise e a football pitch, basketball and volleyball courts, athletic tracks and workout equipment, said Fanis Nurmukhametov.
The construction of an additional building for a sports hall with an area of 615 square meters has begun at school No. 49, which will be accessible for children with disabilities. According to the head of the district administration, it will be equipped with a lobby, locker rooms, gym and sports halls, a physical therapy and boccia hall. Up to 30 students will be able to train here at the same time.
An additional building of the gym with an area of 895 sq.m is also being built at the gymnasium No. 7. Presently, construction work has been completed by 35%. Physical education classes, basketball, volleyball and other activities will be held in the new building. The approximate capacity will be 40-50 people. Students, including children with disabilities, will be able to train here.
