Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan, got
acquainted with the first results of a large-scale program on improving working
conditions at the PJSC Kazanorgsintez, investments in which exceed 1 billion
rubles for updating work clothes, crew buses, as well as renovation of catering
system and medical care for employees. In 2022, the average salary of employees
increased by 30%, while discharges to the Volga decreased by 1 million cubic
meters.
“Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company is a backbone enterprise of our
capital. We are following updates of technologies used here and opening of new
production facilities. Today we were particularly pleased with the changes in
social policy introduced by SIBUR as a new shareholder of the company, - I.
Metshin said. - Such an attitude to workers, to working conditions, their
catering services and healthcare is an example to follow. There is no need to
visit Singapore, Turkey or China for this. We will definitely think about how
to bring the director's corps here. Directors of enterprises should study Kazanorgsintez's
experience in attitude towards workers.”
Ilsur Metshin noted the active development of the company. Over 20
years, the production has increased by 60%, and the generated waste has almost
halved. SIBUR's investments in a large-scale program on improving the working
conditions of employees amount to about 5.5 billion rubles.
Today, the average age of Kazanorgsintez employees is 39 years. Since
January, employees have switched to a unified pay system. In 2022, the average
salary of employees increased by 30% – from 72 thousand to 94 thousand rubles.
The company has completely updated its fleet, it has been replenished
with 17 new eco-friendly methane-powered buses with 54 seats. The buses are
air-conditioned and have access to Wi-Fi. Thanks to this, now the company's
employees get to work in comfortable conditions. Ilsur Metshin and Airat Safin,
Director General of the company, drove one of these buses through the territory
of Kazanorgsintez.
First, they visited the reconstructed canteen of the enterprise. Vegetable
salads and fruits are provided for workers free of charge as part of a new
format of catering for employees. The average check here is about 180 rubles.
“The fact that the management and shareholders care about people's
health, about the quality of their nutrition, says a lot. In a short period,
the number of people who eat in new canteens has already increased by 50%,”- I.
Metshin said.
There are two medical centers on the territory of Kazanorgsintez, the
first of which opened in November last year. Both institutions work around the
clock. Ambulance crews are also on duty around the clock at the enterprise.
Kazanorgsintez produces more than 170 types of products.
The growth in the volume of processing of liquefied petroleum gases in
2022 allowed to increase the commercial products by 6%, which exceeded 1
million tons. The industrial production index increased by 5% to 105.2%.
If in 2000 the production volume was 600 thousand tons, then in 2022 it
reached 1 million tons. Thus, over 20 years, the volume of products has grown
by 60%. The generated waste has decreased by almost 50% in 20 years.
“It is very pleasing that over the past year, with an increase in
production volumes, the company has reduced the volume of discharges to the
Volga by more than 1 million cubic meters, and Kazanorgsintez continues this
policy. The ecology of the city is very important, this is our future,”- I.
Metshin stressed.
The Mayor noted that Kazanorgsintez is an important social partner of
the city. “You continue to support many social projects, including Rubin
football club and Sintez water polo club. Looking at the professional team, our
children and youth are engaged in sports and lead a healthy lifestyle,”- he
said.
