Vladivostok mayor takes up charity baton from Kazan mayor
(Kazan, KZN.RU, September 3) Vladivostok Mayor Igor Pushkarev picked up charity baton from Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin by meeting Ready for Labor and Defense norms.
Recall that it was President Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin who launched the charity event. The one who is challenged must either meet a Ready for Labor and Defense norm or donate 3,000 rubles to the "Give Life" charity fund. After completing a double norm in push-ups, the mayor of Kazan passed the baton to the head of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev.
"It wasn't by accident that the mayor of Kazan passed the baton of charity and sports to Vladivostok. Last year, Ilsur Metshin and I welcomed the Universiade flame in Vladivostok, where the Russian stage of the relay started. I am pleased to accept the baton from my colleague and am ready to repeat his achievements right now," said the mayor of Vladivostok during a meeting with students of the Vladivostok school No. 73. Igor Pushkarev also met the double norm in push-ups and shooting. He also donated money to the "Give Life" charity fund.
